Mixed Bag

Everywhere, anywhere......

Well The Drum has been running an ad hoc series on the weird and wonderful places people manage to take a good old fashion kip in and around PNG. They always give me a chuckle.

When I first moved here a few years ago I used to FREAK out when I saw people asleep on the edge of the roads, sometimes on the road- I thought they were dead! Now I just navigate around them as I am talking on my mobile....of course something I would not do back home (talking on the phone that is :) )

Dolls cause quite a stir in Buka

I just LOVE this article for so many reasons! I have read it about 5 times now and it still cracks me up. My favourite quote is "Rubber mama can sing, she can perform like a real woman". I read in the Drum the other morning there is going to be a Part 2 of the story....we can only hope! Anyway let me know if you like it too :) Post Courier 1/10/10
